Stumbled across this late one night and was immediately transported half a lifetime back when I knew Geoff Lee as an itinerant boat bum on the Jersey shore and in South Florida...even then, his dazzling musical talent was evident. How to explain his innate musical understanding? I can't. Without formal training or the years of study lesser artists require to reach even modest technical proficiency, Geoff Lee transcends the boundaries of form and genre with a unique style that continually surprises and challenges listeners. I hope we hear more from him. Oh, he's a hell of a boat painter, too.
